"I LECCI Wine Culture Center" is located along the Via Lucardese, just outside Montespertoli. The facility includes a Wine Shop and Bar, a Congress Hall, and a Wine Museum. It is owned by the Municipality of Montespertoli and it was founded also thanks to the contribution of the European Community.

Overlooking two valleys, covered in vineyards and olive groves, dotted with ancient castles, and with the famous towers of S. Gimignano as a backdrop, the Center is the first facility of its kind in the region, completely devoted to the management and organization of activities in the field of wine production and oenology.

The Congress Hall is entirely soundproof and air-conditioned, provided with an auditorium seating up to 150 people as well as with videoconferencing and video projection equipment, internet connection, audio system, etc. It is ideally suited to host congresses and conferences of any kind, also with a large number of participants.

In the ample space of the Wine Shop and Bar, visitors can sample a wide range of quality local wines and enjoy hot traditional Montespertoli recipes as well as cold dishes such as toasted breads, cheeses and an extensive selection of cured meats, desserts and traditional local biscuits.

The Wine Museum is a collection of documents and artifacts related to the key product of the region: "Wine".

The Wine Museum is also a research path illustrating the wine production phases (from grape picking to wine making and bottling) and throwing light onto the long-established importance of the product, linked to the fascinating history of the land and its farming, involving enthusiasts and tourists alike. It provides a historic-scientific interpretation of the phenomenon, starting from the analysis of the land and ideally reaching as far as the people who cherish one the land's finest products, wine. But the museum's most remarkable feature, which is an absolute novelty, is a sensory laboratory for adults and children, where visitors can smell the strong scents of wine, focus on the shades of its color, and sample its diverse textures, thus becoming more aware of all the different ways in which our senses are stimulated during wine tasting.

Sight, smell, and taste, which allow us to grasp the sensory information and stimuli of wine tasting, are presented to visitors by means of various experiences that enable all of us to realize how our senses are strongly interconnected to each other during wine tasting, sending a range of inputs to the brain, which are then elaborated as a whole. The experiences included in the didactic section are set up in such a way as to be relevant to everybody, children and adults alike, leading visitors to reflect on the way in which our body's sensory systems work and are interrelated to each other.
